why?

Why is it when you give kids the exact same thing, same amount and everything on different colored plates or cups they have to have a certain color. If you hand them a green one they want the pink one. THEY ARE THE SAME. This eventually leads into siblings fighting. What is the psychiatric reasoning for this phenomenon?

I had a good few months with the kids all liking different colors so there wasn't an issue but now Lacey and Cassidy fight over colors. We've learned the saying "you get what you get and you don't throw a fit!" I say that at least once a day.

haha, I was just about to add my saying, it's almost the same as Tiffany's... "You get what you get and you don't get upset!"
